The Iced Path by Kayla Eshbaugh

This story reminded me of Sleeping Beauty mixed with Hansel and Gretel!!!!
I 💜LOVE Gretel's real name, because it suits her so much better. I also 💜LOVE that they both have a different name then what they are called at first. They make such a good pair. With Gretel's stubbornness and Cole's determination they make a funny pair. I 💜LOVED their banter and it was so swoony at times. I know the author mentioned how A Christmas Carol was thrown into it a bit and I can see that with poor Cole's situation.
I did notice a lot of Hansel and Gretel hints like; candy, candy houses, not eating something, trail of chestnuts (instead of breadcrumbs), and an wicked power hungry person.
But for some reason this gave me some Sleeping Beauty vibes too, but I can't spoil anything even though I want to.
If you hate Hansel and Gretel like I do you will think differently with this book. I am more than glad I gave it a chance, because all the twists and turns keeps you wanting to know more. I Very Highly Recommend this tale
Why it is now Runner Up for Top Romance Tome
*Swoony Banter
* Swoony Scenes with Gretel and Cole
* Mystery needed solving
*Some Sleeping Beauty vibes
* Has the meaning Being brave doesn't mean you aren't afraid
* Enemies to Lovers vibe
* Twist I didn't see coming till Gretel mentioned something

You're All Kinds of Wonderful by Nancy Tillman
This book is so beautiful🥹!!! It is all about being yourself and how everyone was born with a talent that they all have to discover for themselves. It also says that a person's talent/ bell makes the world a better place. What I also 💓LOVE about this one is that it includes ALL KIDS!!! Kids with disabilities and difficulties , but still have their own " bell " that makes the world better.
I cannot recommend this book enough. I Very Highly Recommend it

The Midnight Blizzard by Mary Mecham

Chemistry, humor, critters what's not to 🩵LOVE
Jack and Noelle's chemistry was so strong I almost needed Jack's magic to cool it down. Their banter was so humorous and swoony. So many twists I did not see coming and so many swoony scenes. It is like you wanted to yell at Jack like Beryl did KISS HER ALREADY🤣. I loved how good of a team they made. Jack brought grounded Noelle's impulsiveness. Noelle lit up Jack's would and made him less serious.
🩵LOVE the Cinderella references like; Noelle sleeping near Cinder the dog, her being called Cinderelle, her wearing a pink dress, dog being called Pumpkin, something expiring at midnight, ice slippers, and has mention of the original tale about the slippers that invloves one stepsister. That one could of done without, but it wouldn't of made another twist so gasp worthy.
Also 🩵LOVE the big twist near the end involving the other stepsister. Soooo AWESOME🤩🤩🤩
I More than Highly Recommend this one
Here are reasons why it is Runner Up for Honorable Mention Tome 2025

Serendipity by Stephen Cosgrove

I cannot say how much I 🩷LOVE THIS BOOK!!! Not only is it about staying true to who you are, but it is about not littering in the oceans. I MORE THAN HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT!!! The illustrations were gorgeous and I can't tell you about the surprising twist to it, but it is AMAZING. IN FACT I AM BUMPING IT TO TOP MISCELLANEOUS TOME 2024. The reason being I never felt comfortable with making a multi story/ multi author one and that this book has such a more powerful meaning than the Bluey one
Reasons Why;
* Powerful meaning staying true to who you are
* Powerful meaning on not littering
* Surprising twist
* Beautiful illustrations
* Beautiful quotes

The Warrior Prince by Ashton Dorow
This book is all about forgiveness, trusting in God, and taking chances. Rienna I was so wanting to scream say YES! to Gareth's proposal of courtship. But you could tell she didn't feel worthy and had been so mistreated that she couldn't risk saying yes quite yet.
Rienna is so relatable to me. I may not of had all her struggles, but I have a disability too. Mine is invisible, but you still have the same struggles as ones like Rienna were it is obvious.
I 🩵LOVED the scene when Gareth finally picks Rienna up in his arms and twirls her around. I thought that was sooo swoony he thought of a way to help her not feel so embarrassed. But that would embarrass him probably🤣
I also🩵LOVED how the author managed to have chemistry be strong and then wanting to be released. However, Rienna suppressed it and when she let it out 😍😍😍😍. So much chemistry going on. Also this book is paced so you just keep wanting to know what happens next.
I HIGHLY recommend this book.

Arianna and the Maze of Monsters by Alesha Adamson

The twists, turns, and mystery keep you turning the pages to find what's next. I 🩷LOVED how past characters were mentioned or in this book ( Drake🤩). However, I think Silas is my new favorite. Despite all that he did he tried to protect everyone while still trying to accomplish what he had been tasked to do.
You could tell from the begining Silas had reasons for doing things even though he hated it, especially because it involved Arianna.
Silas and Arianna were a perfect match they needed each other. He was not confident and awkward and she was so outgoing. I 🩷LOVED when Arianna told him no one likes her chatter and what was wrong with him. 😂 He wasn't used to talking with people so he enjoyed it.
I 🩷LOVE it when couples better each other and make an unstoppable team. With Silas 's know how on magic and Arianna's knife throwing skills they can be dangerous🤣. I also 🩷LOVED the nature dryads traditions. Soooo swoony❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥. They both try not to fall for each other, because they each had missions. Arianna wanted to save her family and escape and Silas trying to save his kingdom and hers. But with Silas 's protectiveness and Arianna's ornery personality they fall hard for each other. He tries to do what is right with his cousin nagging him and a more powerful person all causes him to struggle with things. But with Arianna's help they prove love conquers all❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
I VERY HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK!!!
Also I almost forgot I 🩷LOVE that Silas technically speaks bird 😍. I wish I had that skill then I can tell them whatever my cat said I have no control over🤣. Because whatever meow she used wasn't nice due to them trying to get her at the window
******SPOILERS********
It made so much sense why he kept Arianna, because it took the villains focus off of the Queen for awhile. To give Silas more time to figure out what to do. If Silas sent her back then Prince Ormarr would of went after the Queen again causing more complications then having Arianna their.

The Fae King's Labyrinth by Elisa Rae

The humor, the action, and the romantic tension keeps you turning page after page wondering what will happen next. Calypso and Azulin are perfect for each other. I 💜LOVE her inner wisdom and Azulin 's need to protect her from the mysterious person that hurt him. She is so smart and I 💜LOVE how it is her wits that helps protect them both.
I also💜LOVE how it sweeps you into a whole other world. Then you have the twist and turns along with the Pooka. I 💜LOVE that character even more now, but no spoilers. He is just so funny🤣. Herman oh boy that sithcat is so cool. I could go on and on, but I don't want to spoil anything. I could not put this one down. Oh one last thing I 💜LOVED is that Greyson from the first book was in it🤩. So if you loved the first then you MUST read this one.
I VERY HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Princess of the Silent Moore by Brittany Fichter
I was too enthralled with the story I had to go back and take pictures of quotes.
I💙LOVED Finola's spirit and determination and coupled with Declan's sense of duty they make such a powerful team. Declan tries to do what's right by her and she could care less if he was a squire or not. I 💙LOVE how this book is about fighting a powerful darkness with the ones we love and to not give up. Despite it seeming hopeless the darkness never wins in the end if we keep fighting towards the light. Such a powerful message is what I got out of it.
I also💙 LOVED Everard in this and how much he helped our heros. His personality I would love to have a conversation with him. I MOST HIGHLY recommend this book

Stitched on My Heart by Heidi Gray McGill
The author makes you feel as if you are their. Delphina being heartbroken at hearing what happened to her friends she and her husband were looking for. I almost cried for poor Delphina when that happened. Then it describes perfectly Missouri's beauty in the wildflowers and in the land. I maybe biased though about Missouri. It also describes the fearfulness some have in the weather here. Then when Delphina finally let herself truly feel for Moses and he for her it was perfect. If you want a book that is faith filled, letting yourself be vulnerable, and let yourself receive what God wants you to have then please pick this one up you won't be disappointed. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT
Also if you 💜LOVE Laura Franz books and are DYSLEXIC like me so you have trouble with the formatting in her longer books you have to try this.
The formatting is PERFECT FOR DYSLEXICS😍😍😍😍😍😍

Of Dragons and Stone by Tara Grayce
If you want to know more about the characters in Mountain of Dragons and Sacrifice then YOU MUST READ THIS!!!
I 💜LOVE Clarissa and Dorrian's love story. They are such a good match. With Dorrian's sarcasm and Clarissa's sweet personality they are such a fun pair to read about. I also💜LOVED that this book had Phoebe's story and some of the times Evander saved some maidens that weren't very nice to him.
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT.

Assassin of Fire and Sacrifice by Mary Mecham
I ❤️🔥LOVE the mystery to this and the twists and turns. I also ❤️🔥LOVE the very swoony banter with Tarquin. The banter between Azora and Tarquin is so intense, but full of chemistry. You can tell they have powerful chemistry as soon as they met. As the story goes along you start to understand why Azora is the way she is. Tarquin and her are made for each other. Azora puts some fun back in Tarquins life and he gives her a sense of home along with security she really never had. I never saw the ending coming it was bonkers what was going on. I won't spoil it though you will have to read it. The last thing I mention that I ❤️🔥LOVED was the whole phoenix concept. This is the first book I read with phoenix shifters and they are just as amazing as dragon ones.
I VERY HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT.

Bluey Awesome Storybook Collection by Puffin Books
I 💙LOVE THIS ONE. YOU SEE MORE OF WHAT EACH OF THE EPISODES SHOW. In the first story you learn what each name of the balloons are. You also get a better understanding of the episode. In the second you get to see my favorite part of the pool episode, which is when Bingo freaks out over the pool cleaner. The Grannies one you get a better view of the screen when Bluey's grandparents are trying to do the flossing dance. The fridge shows pictures of Bluey and her cousins posing in different episodes of the show.
The fourth is my favorite and I wasn't too much of a fan of the Bob Bilby episode. You read it in Bob Bilby's point of view, which I 💙LOVE. It is sooo adorable
The fifth one is so adorable and makes the episode even better. You understand poor Socks wants to guess, but has no answers. You also see poor Muffin when she wanted a turn Bingo went. So you understand why she wanted to be a ballerina so bad.
The camping story is so precious and funny. In the episode it goes a wee bit fast so you don't catch everything. I love Bluey's face when Muffin is burning her marshmallow. Trixie and Bandit are also making a funny face at her. Chilli is looking at Bingo enjoying her marshmallow and Stripe is looking at Socks who had fallen asleep. You also see that Jean Luc is French Canadian and is eating Salmon.
If you like the Bluey TV show then I VERY HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK. IT EVEN MADE ME WANT TO REWATCH THEM

Island of Secrets and Sacrifice by Deborah Grace White
This had such a Beauty and the Beast feel to it. I 🤍 LOVED the message of seeing what is real and not. Ember's people were so manipulated along with poor Haiden who let his temper get the better of him . I🤍LOVED Haiden and Ember's playful banter. They were such a good match. With Ember's strong willed personality and his gruff demeanor it evens them out. The song magic was confusing at first, because it is new to me however it was really neat. The one thing I didn't like was the creepy elf. Haiden kept mentioning he was small and it could be I was tired, but it was confusing because Ember said he wasn't small. Despite that, because the song thing was so cool and the storyline AMAZING I MOST DEFINITELY RECOMMEND it

Willow and the Harvest Moon by Kayla Eshbaugh

I 🤍LOVE the beautiful messages. One is about seeing yourself as you truly are and not how others see you. Willow is so beautiful inside and out. She cares for the creatures that others normally look down on and she cares for the people. If she didn't care so much she wouldn't worry about what they thought. The other message it has is about not giving up on the ones you🤍LOVE. Thomas saw Willow for who she truly was and was right about her being a treasure. No SPOILERS!!! I 🤍LOVED Thomas and Willow's love story. Thomas is so perfect for Willow. He doesn't give up on her and still allows her space to make up her own mind. Willow is also perfect for him, because of her sweet personality he sees things differently than he normally would. I 🤍LOVE the side characters too. Wes was so funny I was wondering why he was so ornery, but that is just his personality and it added a bit of humor to the tale. His wife was equally funny, but kept him in his place. The other side characters are ANIMALS. MAINLY A SQUIRREL!!!!🐿️ Their is a fox and I love him too, because he is the serious one, but Clover the squirrel is so funny. Especially when someone tries to eat his favorite snackies🤣. The owl was also a neat character, but the squirrel is my favorite.
I MOST HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT, BECAUSE SQUIRREL 🤣 JUST KIDDING KIND OF. The romance, the mystery surrounding Willow, Thomas🥰, and adventure the characters at first unwillingly get stuck on is the second reason I recommend it🤣. The other thing I must mention is that it has hints of Christianity in it, which is 🤩AMAZING.

Mountain of Dragons and Sacrifice by Tara Grayce
If you 💜LOVE dragons and sweet Romance then you must pick this one up. Evander is such a sweet guy trying to do the right thing, but has no idea how to stop the dumb village elders. I 💜LOVED his personality.
He can be sweet, funny, and loves snacks.
Evander and Nessa are so perfect for each other. They both love snacks, gyros, sunsets, joking, and are strong leaders. Evander is the perfect gentleman, but Nessa sure brings out his orneryness. I 💜LOVED it when he mentioned if Nessa got airsick please puke away from him 🤣.
If you 💜LOVE fae romance, twists and turns, mythical creatures, villains getting what they deserve in the best, but different way then you really must pick this up. I VERY HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT
**** Also as a bonus....... It mentions sharks🥰😍 . Nessa wonders if wolves can sense the smell of blood like shark

Jacklyn and the Twisted Beanstalk by Callie Thomas
Such an adventurous tale keeps you wanting to know more. Jackie has had a hard life and just wants the best for her family even if it leaves her oblivious to the obvious answers. I 💚LOVE how Gill supports her and yet tries to protect her from herself. I 💚LOVE it when Jackie finally realizes what everyone else has noticed about her and Gill. She is so focused on keeping her farm and family together she didn't know when her feelings had changed toward Gill
I also 💚LOVE the mention of tales that happened because of the heroine. One of them being Cinderella getting her happily ever after, because of Jackie's pumpkin. The ending was so beautiful, and I hope there is more on Clover in the future. I won't spoil who Clover is though.
The only thing I didn't like was how the King was never held accountable for his people's hardships.
If you are looking for an interesting take on Jack and the Beanstalk in it and mentions other tales then I DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THIS TALE.

Pearls of Salt and Sacrifice by Everly Haywood

The twist and turns in this above and undersea adventure keeps you guessing what will happen next. I💙LOVE the chemistry between Reva and Jareth from the start. They are both drawn to each other in different ways. She is drawn to his caring nature and he is drawn to her sharp wit and bravery. They are both desperate to help their people, but Reva won't except anything that wouldn't help her people right away and I thought that was admirable. But Jareth I don't know how she kept her sea legs when he was onboard the ship, because of the little creatures he looks after in his pocket. A Prince that cares not only about the elves in his realm, but the creatures also is a keeper.
I also💙LOVED the humor and bantor in this book plus I did not see what was coming in each scene. The author did such a wonderful job with this tale. I VERY HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT. I also must mention again BABY KRAKENS🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰.

Penelope and the Pirates by James Young
This book was so stinkin cute!!! I LOVE💙 how smart Penelope was at getting the captian to let her onboard. And I did not see that ending coming at all. This is such an adorable book. I 💙LOVE the intrigue, beautiful pages, and the overall storyline of this book. I VERY HIGHLY Recommend IT

To Break A Silence by Lydia Mae
I just 💙LOVED this story. It is a beautiful story about forgiveness and has so many surprises I couldn't put it down.
This is what the Little Mermaid Live Action movie should of been. The pure amazement at the world above, the innocence of Stella instead of being a brat( sorry, but the actress playing her acted like one unlike in the cartoon), the powerful chemistry between her and Dillon, and everything else this beautiful tale has to offer. I also 💙LOVED how it was Stella's grandmother that encouraged her to follow her heart and helped her. The author did such a good job and the bits of faith added in was amazing.
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT

Scarlett and the Dark Woods by Mary Mecham
So much in this book; adventure, mystery, budding romance, and several morals. This book teaches you not to judge people before knowing them. It is also about not being afraid to stand up for yourself and others.
Greyson and Scarlett's snarky banter is so funny and full of chemistry. I 💚LOVE the different views in the towns and how Scarlett sees how her town wasn't as good as she thought. I 💚LOVED how the author showed you how neat the village Scarlett lived in through her eyes, but yet you also felt like this village isn't right.
There was a twist at the end it was almost scary, but boy I did not see that coming. I felt like I should of put those together, but I didn't. I won't spoil anything though. Greyson really shined in that scene and that one line of his is soooo swoony. He doesn't want anyone calling Scarlett, "princess," but him. I MOST Definitely recommend this book

Thorns of A Princess by Kassidy Kameron

This is a beautiful story about sacrifice, finding the meaning in life, and being vulnerable. Rapunzel aka Zellie longs for companionship after a horrible curse befell her. She has a friend, but not a feel of a human hand could she hold for years. Finnan was selfish and never realized how much until meeting Zellie. The chemistry as Zellie melts his heart and the molding of two different tells makes this such an INSPIRING AND LOVING TALE. I just💚LOVED how the author gave a reason for his cocky attitude. I was wondering why he was so fearless and it made so much sense as the book went on. So much to 💚LOVE in this story like: Rapunzel's nickname, her sweet friend who is a pixie, the storyline, and how love can defeat even the strangest of curses.
I cannot recommend this book enough I MORE THAN HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS TALE.

Steal a Swordmaiden's Heart
Here is my review for the first book of 2024
This was such a great pick and I VERY HIGHLY recommend it, especially if you have read and 💚LOVED Stolen Midsummer Bride. In this book you will find; humor, action, suspense, twists, and romance. Theseus and Ariadne make such a powerful couple. Their strengths double when they work as a team and so does their humor. I 💚LOVED the pig part, especially with Theseus's thoughts on it. I agree it is disgusting despite it being magical. That is all I will say. I also 💚LOVED how smart Ariadne was about helping Theseus with his plan to save his Court of Knowledge.
It has been awhile since I had read Stolen Midsummer Bride, so I was really shocked and surprised near the end. Like I mentioned so many twists, which you don't see coming.
